We are fast approaching the end of the marking period and I want to have 1 more quiz and 1more test before the end. Quiz will fall on Tuesday while the test will be a week from Monday.
You already have all the notes for the quiz and Tuesday's lecture will finish the note for the test. That means the rest of the time is for lab work. Each will require a report handed in that day after the lab.
Monday-peppered Moth
Tuesday-Wed-Fishy selection
Thursday- Friday- grasping evolution

Our discussion of ecology continues with Mondays lecture on Cycles in Nature. Tuesday and WEDNESDAY WILL BE THE PREDATOR PREY HANDS ON LAB WITH THE REPORT DUE WEDNESDAY. SPEAKING OF WEDNESDAY WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY FOR A QUIZ!Thursday lecture on succession and Friday desgn an organsm writing prompt,
AP Biology
Isn't it nice to be on a familiar topic...Cells. We certainly are bulding on what was learned in 10th grade. Monday's focus will be cellular transport with emphasis on the sodium potassium pump. Tuesday we will complete transport lecture , set up for a sucrose osmosis lab and check worksheets n prep for Wednesday's Quiz. Following the lab results will be read and calculations completed. Thursday we will introduce Enzymes in lecture and spend Friday in Lab.

Well, we have wrapped up our first chapter. That means it's time for a big test. We will use Monday for a review game and the test is scheduled for Tuesday. Everything you need to study should be in your notebooks.Wednesday we will begin our new topic of Ecology. We will have in class activities but no homework! Friday is a writing prompt that corresponds with our topic.

You can breathe a sigh of relief ...we are leaving organic chem behind and moving into the more familiar topic of the cell. Lecture Monday with a lab.Remember notebooks are due for the organic labs today! Our new lab will be coacervates(our lecture topic). Tuesday most of my seniors will be missing so a cell worksheet is in store for those present. Wednesday we will lecture cellular organelles Thursday
cell organell lab and Friday cellular Fractionation Lab. No Quiz this week!

Monday will be a full period lecture followed up with a worksheet that we probably won't have time to finish until Tuesday.Once that sheet is finished and checked we will move on to the actual lab which will run thru Thursday. Thursday will also be our quiz day this week notes on the microscope only. Friday we will watch a movie on microscopic life.Microscope lab will be due.

Still working on organic compounds we will mix lecture and lab Monday, tues, and Wed this week. Lab notebooks are due for Friday...Osmosis and all of the polymer activities. Thursday Worksheet review? and Friday Test is the plan of the moment. This material is difficult! Please see me if you are having trouble A>S>A>P

Still working on chapter 1, this week we will focus on scientific method and tools of the biologist. Since Wednesday is picture day, we will move our quiz to thursday. It will focus only on characteristics of life notes from your notebooks. Each day will be a combination of a little lecture followed by activity/worksheets. Most of these will be finished during class...but if not finish them for homework

You have all your notes on properties of water and should be in good shape for the quiz on Thursday. Lab notebook is due Tuesday make sure there are 2 labs finished to this point. Our next topic is organic compounds...I think you will like the lab that goes with that topic.
