The next 2 weeks are a disaster for AP bio between the testing and the field trips I don't think I'll see everyone until the 16TH.I'm printing note packets so everyone has the info. We are going with a research assignment on virus instead of a quiz. Papers went out today(Monday) and they will be due by Friday. The only other assignment for the week is the Bacteria lab which is due Wednesday. We will use Wednesday, Thursday AND Friday TO REVIEW FOR THE ap TEST Monday.

Bio- We are working on ecology for the rest of the year. This week starts with a review of energy in ecosystems followed by a worksheet that will be due Tuesday. Tuesday we will lecture cycles in nature. Wednesday will focus on the predator prey cycle. We will use a lab to reinforce our topic. Thursday we will complete the lab and Quiz. Friday we will look at populations, including distribution and survivorship worksheets are included for both topics.

Week of 4/4/16

Academic bio classes will start the week completing their Natural selection Lab. It's due Tuesday. Tuesday will start with a QUIZ and follow up with lecture on supports for evolution. We will complete our discussion of evolution supports on Wednesday and start an activity called the most intelligent mammal. This activity will take 2 days and the finished report is due Friday We will wrap up our week and our evolution topic with Natural and artificial selection a supporting worksheet will be started in class and finished for homework. I'm planning a review on Monday 4/11 followed with a TEST Tuesday that week.

AP BIo will begin the week with a mini lesson on gene regulation...Including the lac operon. There is a ws that accompanies our discussion. Tuesday lecture will introduce Evolution and evidence used to support it. If time allows we will start a lab using Nuttell Precipitation. If not that will be our starting point on Tuesday followed by a discussion on patterns of evolution. Nuttell Lab will be due on Friday. Orgami bird lab will fill Wednesday and most of Thursday with the flyoff on that day. Friday lecture what are cladograms and some practice on reading evolutionary trees. No tests or quizzes this week.
